Switch Awoo Launcher

Awoo Installer is a great alternative to Goldleaf and one that has provided faster transfer speeds.  As I occasionally require a manual transfer via USB to install my games in the past I have used Goldleaf.  But I was recently recommended to check out Awoo Installer and I am glad that I did as the transfer speeds have been much better.  If you are not satisfied with the speeds that you are receiving in Goldleaf you might want to give Awoo Installer a shot.

I was always disappointed with the transfer speeds I was receiving with Goldleaf,  transferring at a maximum speed of 10 MB/s, but I just managed since it did work.  Installing some of the larger games ended up failing or timing out, so that’s when I decide to see if there was a better alternative.  That is when I came across Awoo Installer.  When I tried Awoo Installer for the first time I saw speeds of up to 30MB/s+ and I was immediately a fan.  Since then I have been enjoying the faster and more stable file transfers.  Here’s how to get it set up.

Download  Awoo Installer

Just like any other third party app you’ll want to grab the .nro and add it to your switch folder on your Nintendo Switch.  First, grab the file here:

https://github.com/Huntereb/Awoo-Installer/releases

Now transfer the file to your Nintendo Switch using your usual method.  Once you have moved the file to your Nintendo Switch you can access it via the Album.  You should see the Awoo Installer icon and when you open it you should be presented with this screen:

Awoo Launcher

If you wish to remove the anime character you can do so in the Settings

Another bonus with Awoo Installer is that you can also Manage signature patches.

I install most of my games over USB so I tend to choose the Install over USB option, but you can also Install from SD card or Install over LAN or internet.  So I’d connect my Nintendo Switch to my computer and on my PC I use the ns-usbloader application.

Whichever method you decide to use I hope that your speeds are the fastest that they can be.  If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions please feel free to leave a comment.
